Spatial Branding
Spatial branding, or space branding, is a part of work space design. Here, we aim to enhance a designed space and use it as an opportunity to expand company branding. While most of the space branding projects I was responsible for at TP are behind an NDA (most if not all branding proposals are about potential and existing clients), there is one project that stands out. Back in 2018, the company's current COO was looking for a proposal for the Operations entrance of the corporate building. He had already been pitched by the Facilities department, but was looking for something different. My leader, who had a background in architecture, asked me to put something together and relayed the details of the project to me.
Audience: all TP Dominican Republic employees, clients, and vendors who came to the site.
Challenge: the client (COO) had high standards and, having rejected two proposals from more experienced teams before, I was not sure I could deliver what was asked. Furthermore, I do not have a background in architecture, engineering or interior design.
Result: my leader and the COO were very pleased with the proposal, which had three options of how I envisioned the wall could look while integrating the brand. In the end, they chose the option and production materials that fit their budget, lead time and maintenance level. The wall is still standing today and greets all Operations employees when they arrive.
Scope of work: space branding.
Software/Tools: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator.
